	At Schuling Hitch Company, we take pride in providing our customers with quality service and premium products. Spanning over sixty-five years and four generations, we have grown from one location in Des Moines to two locations, both Des Moines and Ames. Beginning in 1939 as Schuling Conveyor & Hitch Company, we specialized in conveyor manufacturing, sales, and rental. As times changed as well as our customers' needs, we saw an opportunity in the towing industry and changed our focus to trailer hitch manufacturing, installation, and sales. Our efforts served us well, and in 1993, we built and opened a second store in Ames. This store became our center focused on heavy duty towing. As the twentieth century came to a close, we decided it was in our best interest to build a new complex in the Des Moines area. This location specializes in frame mounted trailer hitches, tow bars, and truck accessories. Once our new locations were on their way, we began a new enterprise, snow plows. After searching the market for the fastest attachment and well-built snow plow, we were intrigued by the innovation of Curtis snowplows. We now currently sell their straight and V-plows along with other snow and ice control equipment. Now, with two conveniently located stores, a friendly and knowledgeable staff, and the best products the market has to offer, we are prepared and experienced to provide for all of our customers' needs.
